Over the years she has pursued a variety of interests including stints as a personal stylist and event planner for clients in the NBA and music industry while in college. She even appeared as a reporter in an independent film Payin’ the Price, before embarking upon her passion in the field of education.
Elaine has spent the past fifteen years as an educator in vocational and higher education institutions where she has conducted parenting and life skills workshops and taught business courses. Elaine believes that she has been commissioned to enlighten, empower and motivate others into their God-ordained destiny.
Education
Elaine holds a B.A in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College, an M.S. in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) from Nyack College and wrote her thesis on Leadership Styles and Organizational Commitment with an emphasis on Transformational Leadership. She holds an Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University.
Community
As a woman of faith and belief in the power of serving in the community and giving back, for the past ten years Elaine has volunteered as a dance choreographer for youth and adults in several churches and community dance companies in New York and New Jersey. She also donates to Pillar Cares which provides assistance to students who encounter financial hardship in completing their education.
Elaine has been a featured speaker at numerous women’s, youth and education conferences nationally and internationally in churches, colleges and other non-profit institutions.
Certifications/Licenses
Elaine is a certified FDIC – MoneySmart practitioner, a Licensed Realtor (since 2005), a Non-Profit Organizational Leadership specialist certified by Bergen Community College, and she is licensed as a minister.
